Animation Mentor... that's that!

After 18 months of weekly assignments and 3 additional months on the final project, Animation Mentor comes to an end. That's almost 2 years!

On the graduation I got to meet my class mates in person, meeting all the AM staff and of course the founders, Carlos Baena, Bobby Beck and Shaw Kelly. They are very simple people with big hearts and big resumes.

One thing that was unexpected, is an award I got called "Animation Mentor Ninja" given to me for my personality walk cycle assignment. It was a terrific surprise, I felt so honored. There is a lot of talent in the school and this award could have gone to anyone.

Thanks for reading!

Siggraph 2007 stuff

As the Animation Mentor graduation was held at Siggraph, a couple of classmates and I hanged out in the science exhibition room, there you can find a lot of futuristic stuff, here are a couple of interesting ideas from Siggraph 2007.

This is a mirror mounted on the wall with a nice frame, makes it look like a painting. When you approach it, you see your reflection digitized for a couple of seconds and then it fades away, it is very cool. Your faces gets distorted in a melt down fashion, its not creepy, its awesome!

Electronic-Confessing Machine

The line up to test this confession machine was a bit too long. It works in an ATM fashion, where you have the screen with buttons on the side to go ahead an make your selection. The confession machine will ask you questions about your life, sins, etc, etc. and at the end it gives you its veredict!
