Session 11: In-Depth look at Hips (Animation)
So after 7 hours of tweaking, tweaking and more tweaking, here is what I came up with. You can scroll down to compare it to the previous walk cycle I had, basically I've added arcs, smoothed out the motion and heels are not frozen.
I don't recall personality walk cycles being that hard, its almost like the ones I did before are not helping me at all, or they weren't good enough.

Wow, alot smoother mario!
But, in the side view it looks like he loses momentum for a split second. It's better than the other one, but I still think it could be smoother.
Awesome arcs though, especially in the front view.
Just noticed one more thing...
Take a look at the front view at the screen right leg. It's straight on frame 11, then pops bent on frames 12-13 and the goes back straight on 14.
Man, animators can over-analyze everything to death.. :P
