Class 04 Session 09: Polishing

Notes for this week:
Shot 1: Animate characters!
Shot 2: The character comes to a complete stop, it freezes, resolve the settle. Or... cut the scene in F63 and use those frames in shot 3.
Shot 3: Hit the last pose sooner, when he says "right" head should go up, we'll appreciate his emotion better.
Shot 4: Add more breakdown poses to keep both characters alive, watch eyelines on both guys as well.

I also been having very useful comments from AM students, its impressive the level of comments I get from my peers, here is a sample from Alonso Soriano:

Aww, I liked the candle gag

Shot 2 looks really great. I think it would be nice if the left eyebrow/lid pose wasn't so sad 30-36, since it's a really similar pose through the rest of the shot, just for some contrast. The lip synch seems a tad slow, try sliding it 1 or 2 frames up. Arms seem a little unconsidered.

Shot 3 looks good. Again lip synch seems a little off. I love the last expression he goes into, but it might be even better to have a little assymetry on the brow.

Final shot's coming along well, but the twinning on blue's hands is still bugging me a little.
