Class 04 Session 08: More Animation breakdowns

This week's notes:
-Take out the candle gag, its too complicated
-Shot2: Work on the spacing of the head
-Shot2: S shape arc to the entire motion path of the character
-Shot4: There's something wrong with arms on the screen left guy, revisit the arc.
-Shot4: Screen right character, his arms should go higher on "what" are you kidding?

Took me about 7 hours for all these changes.

Shot 3 animation is completely new, check it out! and added some music in the BG.

Class 04 Session 08: Facial Homework

Its getting to the point that these homework assignments are relaxing compared to the animation ones.

Class 04 Session 07: Animation Breakdowns

Added some more work to shot 2 and shot 4, this last shot seemed a bit lame to me, even though the gag is there. I'm trying to find that 'entertaining ingredient' to make it better.

What do you think of this idea?

Class 04 Session 07: Facial Homework

Once a week we have to hand in this facial studies from a picture, these assignments are a lot of fun and allow you to explore the facial rig deeper, sometimes you don't know how to get some expressions but then you see another student combining the controls in a way that you wouldn't never imagine, this expands your paradigm!

Class 4 session 06: Shot out of blocking

I started with shot #4 because it seems to me the most difficult one to accomplish, since I have to characters on the same shot and also is where I reveal the gag of the entire sequence. Gotta work fast!

Class 4 session 05: Pumpkin Video Reference

This is fun to do, now with After FX and Premiere is so much easier to achieve superimposed shots. The last shot is not quite there, it seems more clear on the previous animatics, here I didn't have the other me as reference to line up the movements but hopefully communicates the idea.

Class 4 session 05: 3D Animatic

From my 2D animatic to a 3D layout, took me about a week to put it all together, the layout was done in an afternoon (car is a borrowed model). Both characters poses are based on the 2D animatic, some poses were difficult to achieve though. Looks so different from the drawings.
