Class 5 Session 5: 2d Animatic First pass

This is the first draft. It took me 13 hours to make it from scracth. I'm pretty happy with the result. Hopefully I can make it better on the following weeks.

Class 5 Session 4: Story pitch critique

This video mainly explains the layout & characters. Its just the initial idea, nothing final. I need to storyboard and create an animatic, see how far I can take it.

Class 5 Session 3: Story pitch video finalists

Between the "Broadcast live" and "Bye bye!" all the people have chosen "bye bye!", mainly because it has a stronger punch at the end. Both stories are good and I don't discard the idea of doing both when the time is better. For now I'll focus in "Bye Bye!"

Thanks for your votes. There has been an incredible response.

Class 5 Session 3: Story pitch video finalists

Here are the ideas that people liked the best, surprisingly; "Bye, Bye" has gotten everyone's attention. Both have been modified from their original version based on your comments.

"The hole in the wall" will have to be in the waiting list due to a time constraint, it will need more than a minute to comunicate clearly.

Which one do you like from these 2?

Class 5 Session 3: Story pitch poll

Here is the voting,

1.Bye Bye (10 votes)
2.The Groom (6 votes)
3.Hole in the wall 9 (8 votes)

What's interesting about this poll, is that regular civilians (not animators) voted for "Hole in the wall", while animators without hesitation voted for "Bye Bye"

I told this to Mike Gasaway (Animation Mentor) and he said, "Well, you are going to get hired by animators", I had a big laugh because its true.

Class 5 Session 2: Story pitch video

The file is 8 min. long and 15mb! Making it smaller was screwing up the audio so please bare with the download time.

Its very important for me to get your comments on these ideas, tell me which one you like the most and if you can add why, even better!

Class 5 Session 2: Story pitch

For these 2 weeks, we needed to find 5 possible scenarios for a short film. Finding one idea is hard enough, now finding 5 its almost impossible. As always, I'm surprised about that we always find a way to achieve such difficult requirements. Don't ask me how but we always do.
